Blast from the Past - Bag Tutorial
I want to share a pattern/tutorial that a made a few years ago. It is for the Crossover Diaper Bag shown below. This a great bag with three roomy pockets that could be used for just about anything! I designed it for charity and we were working on baby things at the time, hence the name.

Alteration - Adjustable Waistband
I have just made my very first movie to share with you.
It seems many of my children's clothes these days come with an adjustable elastic waistband thanks to a buttonhole elastic insert. I am most thankful for these with my skinny boys! Why don't we find these in adult clothing? Now we can! Please watch to see how you, too, can make those "too big" pants and skirts better fitting.

Don't be afraid of the buttonholes! This is on the inside of the waistband and no one is going to see this, so it is the perfect opportunity to make friends with your sewing machine and its buttonhole procedure. Or, it's perfectly acceptable to do them by hand.
Or, if you wish, buttonhole elastic can be purchased online at Homesew or Newark Dressmaker's Supply.
Happy sewing!
Good luck!
Excitement
There is excitement in the air around here! I'm starting out on this new endeavor...Sunbeary Boutique. Thanks for joining me here. Let's see where this journey leads.
